RESUMEN
La infección por el virus de la hepatitis C se ha convertido en una enfermedad emergente en la población de pacientes VIH+/SIDA. En los últimos años se han desarrollado multitud de técnicas de laboratorio para permitir un diagnóstico más precoz así como permitir un mejor seguimiento de la enfermedad y su respuesta al tratamiento. Es por eso que se hace necesario realizar una revisión de todos los ensayos disponibles y ajustar sus indicaciones.
ABSTRACT
Hepatitis C virus infection has became in an emerging disease in HIV+/AIDS population. In last few years many laboratory assays have been developed to allow the most appropiate approach to diagnose HCV infection and monitor infected patients. For that reason, we think that it?s necessary to review the available test for the diagnosis and monitoring of HCV infection and adjust their indications.
